When organizing a wedding, many people might panic. To make it better, you might have divided a few tasks. You got dinner tables as your task. Let us find out how you can set up a dinner table to make your guests feel comfortable.

At first, you need to keep the theme in your mind. Select the tablecloths, placemats and napkins keeping the theme in mind. Make sure that the color you select complements the theme of the wedding appropriately. It's better to use softer hues in your selection. Make sure that the tablecloth, placemats and the napkins also suit each other.

As for the centerpieces, you should make them attractive. Normally, people would use flowers for centerpieces. Another good option is to use candles. Whatever you use, make sure you are not making it exceptionally tall. Very tall centerpieces can be annoying as they will obstruct the view of the person facing you. Ensure that the centerpieces are not taller than six inches.

Now you have to set up the plates and cutlery on the table. Make sure everything is squeaky clean. Put the salad forks on the left and soup spoons on the right. Now keep the dessert fork closest to the plate. Basically, the order of cutlery is according to the courses that are served. Since dessert will be the final thing to be served, keep the dessert fork closest to the plate.

Now, you need to put place cards on the dinner table. Place cards are easily accessible at different stationery stores. You can either buy them from there or make your own. You can use paints to paint them or color pens to write on them. If you are creative and you know calligraphy, use calligraphic pens to write down the names of the guests on these place cards.

Finally, place the glasses right before the knife. Make sure water is the last thing you set up. Fill the glasses with water just before the meal is served. Also, place the pitcher on the table so that the guests can refill the glasses whenever they wish to. Now, get hold of some butter dishes and salt and pepper shakers. Place these after every four people on the dinner table.

Use your hard work and creativity in setting up the whole scenario for the wedding dinner. However, make sure that you do not over decorate the table as this will mean that you have too many items on the table, and there is limited space left to set up food.
